I will be comparing this board to an
ASUS A7V266-E Below are the system specs. |
| |
- AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (Palomino)
- 2X256Mb PC-3200 Samsung DDR
- MSI Geforce 4 TI-4200 64Mb
- Maxtor 60Gb ATA133 Drive
|
|
I am using the A7V266-E motherboard for
comparison for one because its my only other motherboard and for 2
chances are people that are upgrading are upgrading from an older
motherboard. I will be running a few benchmarks to compare these 2
motherboards. |

I wanted to talk a little about the
motherboard installation. Remember to change your IO back plate with
the one provided by ASUS. In order to use the dual DDR support you
need to install 2 sticks of ram in each color slot. This means you
need to put one stick in the black slot and another stick in one of
the blue slots. I used the DDR slots 1 and 3. |
