Well I didn't think I would be reviewing a keyboard because what's
different about keyboards. Maybe one will have a few new internet
buttons that no one will use anyway. When Auravision contacted me and
asked me if I wanted to review there keyboard I was a little skeptical
until I went to there web site and took a look at what I would be
reviewing. At that point I had to have this keyboard so I accepted the
review as quick as I could. |

For the most part the EluminX is just a notebook keyboard in a
desktop configuration. The EluminX uses an electroluminescent back
panel to light up the clear plastic keys. This technology was first
used by the military to help soldiers see the keys in dark conditions.
From what I hear, government agencies are starting to use these
keyboards as well. |

The photos above shows how the EluminX
looks in different lighting. As you can see, the EluminX is not bright
at all in the light but turn the lights out and it is very bright. |

The EluminX lay out is a lot like any
other keyboard on the market other then the fact that they moved a few
keys to condense its size. The photo above shows the keys that where
moved. I have also included a photo above with my workstations
keyboard so you can see how much smaller the EluminX is from what I
would consider a standard size keyboard. |

The keys on the EluminX are just like a
notebook keyboard and the are very comfortable to use. Whether gaming
or working, the keys don't need much more then a feather tap to push
down. I have noticed it has helped in gaming in more ways then the
obvious. Not only can you play at night with the lights out but the
keys are so comfortable that it makes game play a lot better. |

Conclusion: |
  When
I was offered this review I promised my wife this keyboard after the
review was finished. Well the review is finished and now I have to
give it up. I think I might be able to sneak away with it for LAN
parties though. If you are looking for a keyboard that will turn heads
then this is the one you have been looking for. It goes great with a
computer with LED fans and CC tubes. Before I conclude this review I
also wanted to make another note. The EluminX seems to have a power
feature that I liked a lot. If you don't push any keys for a period of
time the lights on the keyboard go out. This future I am sure extends
the life span of the electroluminescent back panel. |
